The Mountains of Mist – Cinematic music for Film & Games
The Mountains of Mist – Cinematic Filmscore/Music for Video Games
With it’s atmospheric strings intro, this instrumental is an ideal track to open an expansive film scene, or cinematic sequence in a computer game, the opening builds up to a string melody on the violin, repeating up until the next melodic sequence. this technique is used to associate whatever visual is currently being viewed with the melody, building up a sort of apprehension the next time that melody will be heard throughout the sequence, or in the next film scene etc.
This track is kept quite simple, the slow tempo allows the melodies to be absorbed and appreciated without being too complex and distracting from the visual. The track builds into a second harmonic progression, and with a visual this would follow the movement of one scene to another, building up to a grand visual with the addition of the choir.
The track then cuts to solo Cello and Harp, possibly to emphasise an interaction with a character in a film scene/game scene visual with another character. The track does not build up too much at the end, easily leading into the next film scene weather it be dramatic or calm.
