The Plains of Andor – Game/Film intro music

The Plains of Andor -Video Game/Film Score Music

A composition ideally suited for an introduction scene, weather it be to an opening film scene, or the opening scene to a video game. The staccato string intro builds up to a memorable melody line on the violins, followed by a multitude of other instruments taking prominence for a few bars each, keeping the score diverse and interesting while being so overly complex as to take over from the visual. The french horns then take the part of the melody, repeating the memorable string line, whereupon the track fades into an almost ambient and calm style.

This track was written as a piece that would fit into some fort of vast opening film scene, looking out over scenery, travelling vast distances, although it would easily fit into an opening scene to a war or fantasy film also, there are elements of this track that have taken inspiration from the music of the likes of Howard Shore, who notably wrote the music for the Lord of the Rings films and the composition would fit well into such a film scene.

The composition is just as easily suited to an opening cut scene for a video game, creating the grandiose atmosphere for a fantasy or medieval war game the opening melody contrasted by the calm latter half of the track would easily tail off into the next gaming sequence within the video game itself.
