This showcase page features some of Mike’s computer game music, film music and music for TV in the World music style. These are just some of the many available in Mike’s media music library numbering in the hundreds of tracks. World music is a very broad style of music, covering all traditional and popular styles of music throughout the world from a traditional Argentinian tango to a modern African ‘Afrobeat’. An example of the former ‘tango’ style is the aptly named ‘Progmans Tango’. A moody and subtle track well suited to a film scene of a darkly lit South American bar full of mystery.
World Music is also often associated with a very upbeat dance style and has integrated very well into modern pop music. A good example of this sort of style would be the track ‘Seed of Life’. This track takes elements of traditional Aftican percussive music and combines it with a modern dance track, the perfect music for a travelling TV documentary or indeed any TV advert featuring wild and lively scenery.
